I want a WordPress website. Where do I start?

Where do I start?Follow the three steps below and then contact us to help you get up and running!

1. Write down the goals of your website, the kind of people you want to visit it, and what your ‘message’ is.

Are you sharing information, selling products, making a personal online journal? The more you write down, the better.

2. Think about how you want it to look…the design.

The biggest part of the “look” of your WordPress website is the theme you choose. It drives most of the design. A theme is like a house – you can make changes to the paint, change the landscaping, or even add a room. However, the actual frame is much more difficult to change. Choose a theme that fits your plan…you can always choose another as you grow. Check out the StudioPress Themes for WordPress here.

3. Talking about paint – pick out a few colors that appeal to you.

Don’t get all crazy here, just choose 2 to 4 main colors. While you’re at it…think about a logo. Do you already have one? We can work together to create a beautiful harmony for your personal brand.
